BRADY FROME

Brady Frome, a Los Angeles native, has loved musical theater since his first appearance in a grammar school production of Grease. A stage veteran by the age of 16, his theater credits include The Gathering opposite Theodore Bikel, the critically acclaimed Haven: The Musical, the lead in We at the Pasadena Playhouse Balcony, the lead in Blank Canvas at the Odyssey and the lead in Last Right Before the Void at the Secret Rose. Brady also has credits in film, commercials (Stinkblasters, Paaws and Vans), television (PBS’ Madison Heights, Improv High pilot) and music videos, including the award-winning UNITED, which premiered at the United Nations in New York. Brady left the stage to concentrate on his education, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Theater Education from Emerson College and his master’s degree in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University. He is currently proud to be the Musical Theater Director at Millikan Middle School Performing Arts Magnet in Sherman Oaks, California.

Responsible for producing two musicals per year, including directing, set design, working with musical director and choreographer, managing lighting and sound, publicity and merchandising.

Teach basic through advanced acting classes to Performing Arts Magnet students and general student population.

Designed curricula and taught two 10th grade English classes, one of which was Honors level.

Performed as director of an after-school theater program at Westwood Charter Elementary School (LAUSD).
Duties included working with children on singing, dancing, acting, choreography, improv, set and prop design and script writing – all leading to a musical production at the end of the session.

Leading to a successful and well-reviewed collaborative performance with the LMU orchestra, responsibilities included auditioning and casting children to narrate and pantomime roles for a classical orchestral piece.
Created the narrative script for the storytellers and worked with students to effectively portray their characters without using words.
